Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones has been in a life long resident of Hawaii. Stephen has over 30 years of experience as a professional musician and over 11 years as a professional recording engineer. He has performed with local stars such as Rene Paulo, Gabe Baltazar, Melveen Leed, Jimmy Borges, Sydette, Jan Brenner, Legends In Concert to name a few. He has also performed with Jazz greats such as Freddie Hubbard, Bobbie Hutcherson, Tiger Okoshi, Gene Harris, Ernie Watts, Bud Shank and Terumasa Hino. He spent a year touring in Japan with Malta, a popular Japanese contemporary Jazz performer. While in Japan he also appeared on Fuji TV with Sawada Kenji and worked as a studio musician on many album projects as well as movie sound tracks. Currently he is performing with The Betty Loo Taylor Trio at the Kahala Mandarin Hotel as well as a freelance bassist. In 1991 he founded Sean’s Song Productions, and began working as a producer / recording engineer. He is currently working with Bryan Kessler in Wire & Wood Music , a recording studio and music production company founded 1999.
